How to Add a Flight to My Skymiles Account

If you have booked and completed travel on Delta Airlines, or a partner airline, and did not include your SkyMiles account number, do not fret. According to Delta Airlines, you have nine months from the time you complete travel to request credit for your miles. If it is a Delta or Delta Connection flight you can submit your mileage request online. For partner airlines, requests must be made through the mail or by fax.

  Visit Delta's website, go to the SkyMiles drop down menu and click on "Manage my Account." Select "Request Mileage Credit." Enter your SkyMiles number and first 13 digits of your ticket number at the Mileage Credit Request form and hit "Submit." If Delta can't confirm mileage based on the information, you will be prompted to complete the online mileage request form.

  Fill out the online mileage request form if confirmation is not achieved in step 1. Your personal information is needed as well as itinerary information. Fill out either the ticket number or flight number, date of flight, and departure and arrival cities.

  Mail or fax a copy of your ticket, or ticket receipt, and boarding passes to request mileage credit from Delta partners. As of April 2011, requests for partner mileage credit was mailed to:
