Delta SkyMiles can be redeemed to purchase flights. Depending on which SkyMiles program you are enrolled in, you may also be able to use your miles to pay only a portion of the ticket, thereby also saving miles for another time.
SkyMiles can also be used for hotel accommodations or car rentals or a combination of both. The reservations can be paid completely with miles or partially with miles and with other payment methods.
Delta's SkyMiles Marketplace offers items for purchase such as jewelry or golf clubs and toys or books for the kids. Delta also offers magazines, newspapers and gift cards.
Another option for using SkyMiles is to donate them to any of the charities Delta supports through its SkyWish program. Information about these charities is available on the Delta website (See Resources).
