Log into your Delta SkyMiles account. After logging in, your name and number of miles will be displayed. You can find additional information, or change your address and payment method, by clicking "Manage My Account" under the SkyMiles tab -- located in the upper-right-hand corner of Delta's website.
Navigate to "Use Miles" which is a subhead under the SkyMiles tab. "Use Miles" provides all the information to book a flight or upgrade a reservation using your Delta SkyMiles. This section also provides an Award Mileage Chart, a SkyMiles store, SkyMiles Auction, SkyMiles Donate and other useful information.
Select "Award Ticket Reservations" from the "Use Miles" page. A shortcut is to select "Book Award Trip" from the SkyMiles tab located in the upper-right corner of Delta's website. Both methods will navigate you to the reservations page.
Search for a flight. You can book a round-trip, one-way or multi-city flight using Delta SkyMiles. Enter all your search criteria. Delta does not let you book a one-way or multi-city flight using SkyMiles if the cities are not serviced directly by Delta. After you perform a search, your results will be displayed. Each flight displayed will give you the total number of miles needed to book that flight.
Select which flight you would like to book. All your personal information will already be filled in. Check all the information to make sure it is correct. You still will need a credit card on file to pay for additional fees not covered by SkyMiles. You are required to have enough miles to book the flight. If you do not, Delta will hold the reservation so you can purchase additional miles to cover the trip.
