Delta SkyMiles is a program for members to accumulate miles through flights, partner hotel stays and some credit card purchases. These miles can be redeemed for flights on Delta, Continental and Northwest airlines. While it does take a considerable amount of time to accumulate enough miles to redeem, it is relatively easy to redeem Delta SkyMiles.
Go to the Delta Airlines website, Delta.com.
In the upper-left corner, log in to your Delta SkyMiles account using your Delta SkyMiles account number and PIN.
Click on "Award Travel" to begin booking your reservation. Options with the amount of miles needed appear on the dates you request. Select the dates you want to travel.
You will be brought to a purchase page, which confirms the amount of SkyMiles you are about to use. If you are short or if there are taxes you must pay, you must use a credit card to pay for the monetary charges.
Click "Submit." Print out your confirmation.
