How to Get Silver Medallion Status
Delta Airline's SkyMiles program rewards the company's most frequent fliers with elite benefits and privileges in a four-tiered medallion program. Silver is the lowest tier, followed by Gold, Platinum and Diamond. When a SkyMiles member earns 25,000 Medallion Qualification Miles (MQMs) or 30 "Qualification Segments" in a calendar year, he is upgraded to Silver Medallion Status. MQMs come from non-flight promotions or by flying Delta or specified partner airlines. They are based on the distance traveled and the fare class. Qualification Segments are earned by flying Delta or its partner airlines in specific fare classes.

Complete and submit the SkyMiles enrollment form at Delta.com.

Fly Delta or a specified partner airlines, and provide your SkyMiles number when you book the flight or at check-in time. The name must match the name on the SkyMiles account for the mileage to count.

Log in to your SkyMiles account at Delta.com using your SkyMiles number and PIN. Go to the "Contact Me" tab in your profile, select "Your SkyMiles Statement" and sign-up for the Delta "SkyMiles Insider" newsletter. The newsletter information can lead to more MQM and additional bonuses.
