How to Confirm Your Flight With the Ticket

Traveling by plane is convenient because it is possible to go anywhere in the world in a relatively short period of time. Though it has several conveniences and the schedules often are set and don't change, savvy travelers should double-check the flight before leaving for the airport to ensure the times did not change. It is possible to check on the flight with a ticket for confirmation.

  Go to the plane company's website or go to a ticket confirmation website such as "View Trip" or "Check My Trip" (see Resources). For the plane company's website, go to the check-in page to check on the trip.

  Look on the ticket for the reservation number. The number is sometimes also called the confirmation number on the ticket. The reservation number includes both numbers and letters.

  Type in the reservation number on the website. The website will usually require a minimum of a last name or both a first and last name after the reservation number. Type in the name as well.

  Press the search button. The search button might say "go," "view itinerary," or "sign in" depending on the website. The flight information should come up on the page and should note any changes to the flight.
