Removing a Vent Cover From an RV Roof
Recreational vehicles have vents that extend from the living quarters through the ceiling and out the roof. These vents are covered with flat hinged doors called vent covers or vent lids, depending on your geographical area. It is not uncommon for these covers to crack due to sun and heat exposure over time, or to be damaged by hail. Most RV vents are 14 inches by 14 inches, but different brands have different hinges. Be sure to check the hinges on your RV before purchasing a vent to ensure it's the same type. Many modern RVs have attached ladders for roof access, but a ladder may be necessary to gain access to the roof if yours does not.
