Located in northern Illinois' Lake County, Camp Henry Horner (jcys.org/chh) is a campground about an hour northwest of Chicago. The Jewish Council for Youth Services sponsors this campground and offers overnight and day camp experiences. Camp Henry Horner includes 180 acres and features property on Wooster Lake; the acreage includes fishing piers and boats on the lake. Camp Henry Horner has a roller skating park, archery range, two baseball fields, tennis courts and two miles of hiking trails. The Block-Hart Recreation Hall accommodates indoor sports such as basketball and volleyball. Camp Henry Horner also offers indoor activities such as theater, dancing and art.
Camp Mystic (campmystic.com) is a campground in West Central Texas that provides Christian, faith-based camp experiences. This camp features cabins for camp participants. Other facilities at Camp Mystic is Harrison Hall, the campground's dining hall, a recreation center and Heaven Can Wait, an infirmary for people who are injured on the campground. Camp Mystic facilitates religious activities such as devotionals and chapel. The campground also offers non-religious activities, including horseback riding, lacrosse, cooking, etiquette classes and canoeing.

Southampton Fresh Air Home (sfah.org) is a campground in Southampton, New York. This camp specializes in providing camp experiences for physically disabled children. Founded in 1901, Southampton offers financial aid for camp participants if their families cannot afford to send them to summer camp. Dormitories are available to accommodate campers; each dormitory has six to eight beds. Camp staff monitor the children while they are sleeping. Southampton's campers have access to activities such as sailing, baseball, art, computers, swimming and tennis.
