RV Campgrounds near Dallas, Texas

Dallas is one of the largest cities in the state of Texas and is one of the hubs of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The Metroplex has something for everyone, and includes professional baseball, hockey and football teams, numerous art museums, orchestras, ballet, theaters and amusement parks. The DFW area also has many places to enjoy outdoor activities, including Lake Ray Hubbard and Grapevine Lake. There are several places throughout the Dallas area for recreational vehicle (RV) campers to set up and set out to explore all that DFW has to offer.

  1. Trader's Village RV Park

    • Trader's Village RV has picnic tables, a pool and barbecue grills.

      Trader's Village is famous all over North Texas for its sprawling flea market and events such as the Big Mamou Cajun Festival and National Championship Indian Pow Wow. Trader's Village also has a highly-rated, AAA-approved RV park, which includes 212 sites, 202 of which have full hook-ups. There are both back-in and pull-through sites, which feature accommodations for big rigs and slide-outs and also come with 50-amp electric hookups. Wireless Internet is available, and the park also offers a swimming pool, recreation hall, playground, gas station, picnic tables, mini-mart, dump station and barbecue grills. The park has both daily and weekly rates.

    The Vineyards Campground

    • The Vineyards has its own boat ramp and pier.

      The Vineyards is located on the southeast of Grapevine Lake. The campground rents cabins, tent sites and RV sites. Sites come with 20-, 30- and 50-amp electricity hookups, sewer and wireless Internet. Pull-through sites are available and pets are allowed. The Vineyards has many amenities, including a children's playground, boat ramp, fishing pier, nature trails, sand volleyball area, dump station, pavilion and laundry facilities. If you get tired of the outdoors, the Vineyards is located close to the large Grapevine Mill mall, the area wine vineyards and historic downtown Main Street.

    Texan RV Ranch

    • Texas RV has its own swimming pool.

      Texan RV Ranch is set on fifteen acres and has 132 sites equipped with 30- and 50-amp electricity and wireless Internet. Pull-through sites are available, and the park also features a dump station, convenience store, horseshoe pits, propane sales, a swimming pool, laundry and shower facilities and a 24-hour courtesy patrol. The park is pet-friendly and offers a pet exercise area. Cottages and cabins are also available for rent. Mansfield is located between Dallas and Fort Worth and has easy access to the Fort Worth Stockyards, Six Flags Over Texas, the Botanic Gardens, Joe Pool Lake and the Fort Worth and Dallas zoos.
