Lake Cumberland State Resort Park (parks.ky.gov/findparks/resortparks/lc), in Jamestown, has a campground with 129 sites. Each site has utility hookups, and three central buildings provide bathrooms, showers and laundry facilities. The facility also has two dump stations and a grocery store located nearby. The campground closes for winter from Nov. 30 to March 13. Lake Cumberland State Resort Park also features a restaurant, Rowena Landing, which offers Kentucky cuisine and panoramic views of the lake.
Foggy Bottom Campground (fishwolfcreek.com), in Jamestown, is located in a secluded setting near creeks and foothills and has 14 large sites for recreational vehicles or tents. The campground is equipped with water and electrical hookups, restrooms, showers, laundry facilities and dump stations. A camp store sells fishing and camping supplies, including lures, ice, and firewood. Hiking and birdwatching are available on the premises. Boat ramps to Lake Cumberland and the Cumberland River are two minutes away.
The Kendall Recreation Area (orn.usace.army.mil/op/wol/rec/kendall) has 83 campsites in its main campground and 35 additional sites in its campground annex. All campsites have water and electrical hookups, and all sites are wooded and shady. The facility has two boat-launch ramps, one that gives access to the Cumberland River, and another that provides access to the lake. The campground has two playgrounds, a picnic shelter, several picnic areas overlooking the lake and a snack shack.
Grider Hill Marina & Resort (griderhillmarina.com), in Albany, offers RV and primitive campsites in a scenic, wooded area. All sites feature picnic tables, grills, fire pits and access to the bathhouse. RV sites also include a concrete pad and concrete patio, as well as water, cable, sewer and metered electric connections. The campground has a one-mile scenic trail that leads to Lake Cumberland, as well as a quarter-mile trail that leads directly to fishing areas. During the summer, the campground offers a shuttle to fishing areas.
