Amusement Parks in DuPage County, Illinois

If you plan on visiting DuPage County, arm yourself with a well-planned itinerary, because there are many things to do and see in Illinois' second most populous county. Whether you enjoy bowling, miniature golf, arcade games, museums or zoos, DuPage and its nine townships won't disappoint. Of course, if you have kids, you can't skip a visit to one or more of the many amusement and entertainment parks this county has to offer.

  1. Odyssey Fun World

    • A visit to Odyssey Fun World is sure to bring a smile to the face of children of all ages. This amusement facility covers 55,000 square feet of indoor attractions, and also has a 6,700-square-foot paintball terrain. Attractions include Exploration Adventure, an indoor, four-story structure that challenges your climbing and maneuvering skills, bumper cars, a teacup ride, laser tag and arcade games. Party rooms can be reserved for special occasions, and the 600-seat cafe serves everything from pizza and burgers, to beef sandwiches and chicken strips.

    Enchanted Castle

    • Located in the village of Lombard, the Enchanted Castle features arcade games, a laser maze, bowling, bouncers, go-karts, karaoke and a catapult ride. This 60,000-square-foot family entertainment complex offers group and birthday packages, and does have height restrictions on some attractions. When hunger strikes, visit the on-site Dragon's Den restaurant for a quick bite before returning to the activities; the menu ranges from salads and sandwiches to pizzas and burgers.

    Paradise Bay Water Park

    • Open during the warmer months of the year, Paradise Bay Water Park can provide a full day of fun for the entire family. Located in Lisle, this water park features an eight-lane lap pool where a game of water basketball or water volleyball is not excluded. While the older kids experience the diving boards and the bowl and drop slides, the younger kids can explore the smaller slides and fountains in Turtle Cove. Swim lessons are available, and for avid water babies, season passes are available.

    Safari Land

    • Safari Land is a 62,000-square-foot indoor amusement park located in Villa Park. With more than 170 arcade games, 12 bowling lanes, billiards, a jungle maze, a merry-go-round, bumper cars and a roller coaster, it's hard to get bored here. In between all the fun, the Atlantis Restaurant can satisfy growling tummies with its kid-friendly menu that includes burgers, salads, pizzas and desserts. Safari Land can host birthday parties, and offers special pricing for large groups.
