Access the NIP home page. Locate and click the "e-passport Application Form" link.
Select the passport type. Choose a "Standard e-passport" or "Official e-passport." The standard passport is for traveling purposes while the official passport is for business. Press the "Start Application" button.
Complete the application form. Fill in your first and last name, gender, date of birth, place of birth, address, city, state and other personal information. Print out the application then press the "Submit Application" button.
Click to "Proceed to Online Payment." Select to pay in dollars then click the continue button.
Click the "Start Payments" button. Click on the "Google Checkout" button to display the order details. This will open a separate window and bring you to the Google Checkout home page.
Create a Google Account. Fill out the application information by adding your e-mail address, password, location and birthday. Click on the "I Accept, Create My Account."
Sign in and continue. Add your debit or credit card information on the secure website. Click on the "I Agree and Continue" button then click on the "Place Your Order" button. You will receive an application ID and reference number.
Print your NIS e-receipt. Click on the "Query Your Application Payment Status" link. Select "Passport" as an option under the "Application Type" drop down. Enter your application ID and reference number.
Submit your information. Scroll down the webpage and click the "Print Receipt" option.
Get Your Guarantor's Form. Click on the guarantors form on the home page. Enter your reference and ID number then print out the two pages.
E-mail the Nigeria Immigration Services at "[email protected]." Ask them to schedule an interview for your Nigerian passport.
Bring the papers to your interview. The passport requires a government letter of identification, a birth certificate, two colored photographs, a marriage license, if necessary and the guarantor letter.
