How to Obtain a German Passport

Nationals of Germany must be issued passports for international travel. By serving as an indication of German citizenship, a passport also facilitates the process of seeking assistance from German consulates abroad. If you qualify as a German citizen in your country of residence, obtaining a passport is a simple process.
