How to Obtain a New Passport

There are a few reasons you might need a new passport: Your old passport expired, you changed your name and need your passport to reflect your name change or your passport was lost or stolen. Depending on your circumstances, you may or may not need to apply for a new passport in person. A valid US passport is required for all US citizens traveling internationally, so make sure you apply for and receive your new passport a few weeks before you plan to leave the country.
