Determine first if you are expected to obtain a visa before traveling to Barbados. All foreign visitors with the exception of citizens of the Carribean, United States, the United Kingdom and Canada are required to possess a visa before entering the country.
Locate the Barbadian Consulate in your jurisdiction to apply for a visa in person. Missions and honorary Consulates of Barbados issue visas in several different countries (see Resources).
Call the Consulate office to make an appointment. You will be required to present a valid passport and bring two identical passport photos 2 x 2 inches in size, taken against a light colored background. The photos must be a frontal portrait of the face, without eyeglasses or anything worn on the head. Ask if your designated Consular offers a photo service, otherwise obtain your photos by other professional means.
Complete a visa application form at your appointment and submit a duplicate copy along with your passport and photos.
Pay the fee of $50 Barbados Dollars for a single-entry visa, or Bds$60 for a multiple entry visa. It can be made payable by cash, money order, cashier's check or select credit cards. Personal checks are unacceptable. It will take one to two weeks to process your Barbadian visa depending on your local Consulate.
