Perry hosts the annual Perry Dogwood Festival at the beginning of April. Admission is free and guests are treated to a variety of entertainment and events. Expect fun activities like arts and crafts booths, 5K race, festival food, live entertainment, dessert contest and pancake breakfasts as part of this weekend event. Compete or participate in a singing contest or see who wins the Miss Dogwood Pageant crown.
For antique collectors or avid shoppers, don't forget to peruse through antique goods by visiting the shops of Perry's Antiques Trail. The 200-mile Antique Trail loop starts and ends in Perry where dozens of antique venues in many historic communities are available. Find various antique shops in Perry including the Mosaic Turtle and This and That shops located on Carroll Street.
The annual Georgia National Fair is held in mid-October at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter in Perry. The fair lasts for a week and a half and is comprised of many activities such as boat rides, petting zoo, live entertainment, comedy shows and outdoor concerts. The fairgrounds have 15 buildings filled with activities and booths. Events include livestock and horse shows, scarecrow contests and cooking competitions. Parking is free but admission fees apply.
