Indoor water parks allow guests to experience summertime fun any time of year. Great Wolf Lodge is nearly a 3-hour drive from Wichita. Located approximately 190 miles northeast in Kansas City, the resort features an indoor water park, overnight accommodations, an onsite restaurant, spa and fitness facility. The Great Wolf indoor water park has attractions for the whole family including Fort Mackenzie, the interactive tree house. Whooping Hollow Kiddie Slides are designed to accommodate children less than 48 inches tall with several slides. Chinook Cove Activity Pool offers activities like water basketball and balancing on a floating snake. The Totem Towers are dual slides, each three stories high. Alberta Falls is a 4-story, enclosed tube slide which undulates outside of the lodge and back inside before dropping riders into the pool. The park also has toboggan and lazy river rides, plus an outdoor water park open from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Leapin' Louie's Lagoon is nearly a 3-hour drive from Wichita. The indoor water park is located about 190 miles southeast of Wichita in the Radisson Hotel in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The park features a rope bridge, frog slide, twisted water slide and geysers. The Radisson's Leapin' Louie's Family Getaway Package includes accommodations for one night, complimentary refreshments and admission for up to four people to the water park. Leapin' Louie's is available to host children's parties and private events on Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Schlitterbahn Vacation Village is about 2 1/2 hours and almost 190 miles northwest of Wichita, in Kansas City, Kansas. The large outdoor water park includes attractions such as the Transportainment River System, which enables guest to float from ride to ride, the Storm Blaster water coaster and the Torrent River tidal wave river. Construction for Schlitterbahn's indoor water park, Riverwalk Promenade, is projected to be completed by the end of 2011 and will feature shopping, dining and guest accommodations.
