How to Know If an Amtrak Ticket Has Been Used

Train travel is appealing because you can sit back in large seats, view the countryside, and get on and off at the multiple stops along your journey. The major train system in the United States is Amtrak. At the station, Amtrak issues passengers a ticket, which is presented to the conductor on the train. Typically, the ticket is punched or marked indicating it has been used.
