Located along the shores of Show Low Lake, the Show Low Lake Campground offers visitors 75 different campsites. Some of these sites are near the lake and some have electric and sewer hook-ups. All of the sites are recreational vehicle sites. Shower facilities and a small convenience store are open during the warmer months. Show Low Lake is the ideal lake for fishing. Boats with electric motors and small gas motors are allowed on the lake. The town of Show Low offers restaurants, movie theaters, miniature golf and shopping for visitors as well.
Lakeside Campground is a government-run campground between the Apache and Sitgreaves National Forests. The sites can be used by both recreational vehicles and tents and are nestled among the pine trees. Visitors to the campground can enjoy fishing, hiking and sightseeing within the two parks. Drinking water and a dump station can be used by campers. However, there are no electrical hook-ups. Generators can be used, except between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Located north of the Sitgreave National Forest, Waltner's RV Resort is a community for those age 55 and older only. Permanent mobile homes make up part of the resort. As of January 2011, sites can be rented daily for $30. All sites feature full hook-ups, including electric, water and sewer. Hiking, fishing, boating and other activities are available right at the campground. The nearest town is Show Low, offering guests restaurants, shopping and amenities, such as movie theaters. Showers and laundry facilities are available for guest use.
Along the shore of Show Low Lake, campers can find Camptown of Show Low. It is an adults-only campground. The recreational vehicle park offers wooded sites to its visitors. The campground is open year-round and features special rates for those who stay for an entire season, from May through October. Golf courses, the Hondah Casino and shopping are located in nearby Show Low. Fishing is available in Show Low Lake and other nearby lakes, including Rainbow Lake and White Mountain Lake.
