Avila Beach is a small town on the central coast of California in San Luis Obispo county. Things to do in Avila Beach include visiting Avila Hot Springs--ranked the number one Avila Beach attraction by travelers at Trip Advisor--wine tasting at Foxen Vineyards, walking the Port San Luis Pier, and enjoying California coastal cuisine at an oceanview restaurant.   1. Avila Hot Springs Resort

    • In 1907 a team of oil drillers serendipitously tapped a hot spring that later became one of the most popular camping resorts in Central California. Nestled into the coastal foothills about two miles from the beach, Avila Hot Springs Resort offers RV camping and vacation rentals in addition to tent camping. An all day pass to soak in the hot springs is priced at $10, as of 2010. RV sites are $35 to $45 per day and tent camping is $30 per day.

    Le Sage Riviera

    • Le Sage Riviera is an RV park located 17 minutes south of Avila Beach, in Grover Beach. While RV's are welcome at Le Sage Riviera, tent camping is not allowed. Rates for RV camping vary based upon the size of the recreational vehicle, season and the number of people camping. As of 2010, summer seasonal rates range from $36 to 49 dollars per day for up to four people.

    Pismo Coast Village Recreation Vehicle Resort

    • With seven awards for "RV Park of the Year", according the the California Association of Recreational Vehicles and the National Association of RV vehicles, Pismo Coast Village RV Resort, aims to please. On site are a store, restaurant, RV storage area and recreation department for renting and buying sporting goods. As of 2010, daily rates are $40 per site. Check in on Sunday or Monday and pay for three nights of RV camping, you will be eligible for the midweek special, which includes your fourth night free.
