The Disney Fort Wilderness Resort sits on 750 acres of pine and cypress tress. The resort has walking trails where you can go looking for local wildlife, including deer, ducks and rabbits. It has a choice of campsites that can accommodate tents right up to large RVs. Facilities include water, electric hook-up, cable TV, grills and picnic tables. The resort offers campers horse-back riding, bike and boat rentals, campfires, fishing, a playground, tennis, swimming pools and a dog park. You can eat in one of the resort's four restaurants. If you want to visit the nearby Disney theme parks, you can take advantage of the free shuttle buses running between the campsite and theme parks.

Turkey Lake Park has sites for RV and tent campers amongst its 300 acres. The park has seven miles of trails for hiking, a playground, a swimming pool and a lake. You can fish for bass or take a boat out onto the lake. Campsites have access to barbecues, picnic tables, water and electricity. If you prefer a little more luxury, you can rent one of the park's five cabins. The park allows dogs, but you must register him and show proof of a rabies vaccination when you arrive. Dogs must remain on a leash at all times and stay in areas designated for dogs only.

The campground at Lake Whippoorwill has lakefront sites for RVs and sits on 355 acres. You can rent canoes or go fishing on the lake. You can camp in a tent or RV, or rent a cabin. Nearby activities include golfing and visiting theme parks, such as Disney World and Busch Gardens.
