Campers can enjoy a day of fishing for walleyes on Diamond Lake, hiking and swimming. Reservations are needed for campers expecting to stay seven days or longer.

    • Kandiyohi County Park 1 is 10 miles from Willmar on the Big Kandiyohi Lake on the west side where campers can fish from shore or swimming off the sandy beach. Bullheads, crappies and walleye can be caught from the shore or out on the water in a boat. Park 2 has 94 campsites with electricity. The park has a dump station, showers, toilets, boat rental, camp store, bait, playground, shelter, game room and a picnic area. Campers that plan to stay for seven days or more will need to make reservations.

    Hide-Away Campground

    • Hide-Away Campground is less than 16 miles from Willmar on Long Lake. The family campground has fire rings, picnic tables and 40 shaded campsites for RV and tent campers. Hide-Away has kayaks, paddle boats, game room, showers and toilets. Campsites have sewer, water and electric hookups. Activities around the campground include horseshoes, volleyball, and swimming, hiking, biking and fishing on the lake. Hide-Away does not allow pets on the grounds.
