You can't get any closer than camping right at the Dover International Speedway itself. The campground, with over 3,500 RV sites, includes both reserved and unreserved sites, the latter available on a first-come, first-served basis.The speedway's campground offers a free shuttle service for the sites situated farthest from the raceway, along with trash pick-up, free water at the main entrance of the track, on-site, fee-based shower facilities and security patrols during race weekends. RVs must be self-contained and fit within the 20-foot by 40-foot sites.
The campground at Killens Pond State Park in nearby Felton is about 16 miles away from the Dover International Speedway. Campsites are available for both tents and RVs. Each campsite comes with parking for one vehicle. While pets are welcome at the campground, they must be kept on leashes that are no longer than 6 feet. Campground amenities include fire rings at most campsites, a bath house with showers, a convenience store, picnic areas and a sanitary dump station.
G&R Campground is located about 23 miles south of the raceway, in Houston. In addition to its daily, weekly and seasonal campsites, the campground also has 16 climate controlled cottages with linens, private bathrooms, kitchens and cable television. Campers can choose from sites with water, electric and sewer hookups, sites with water and electric service, or primitive campsites that don't have any utilities. G&R has two bathhouses with showers, a general store, a swimming pool, a picnic area, a game room and planned activities.
Holiday Park Family Campground is situated on the banks of the Choptank River, about 23 miles from the raceway in Greensboro, Maryland. The campground has roughly 200 camp sites, all with electric and water hookups, free cable, picnic tables and fire rings. It also has restrooms with showers, laundry facilities, a camp store, four playgrounds, a seasonal pool, a game room and planned activities. Holiday Park Family Campground has daily, weekly and seasonal rates.
Delaware Beaches Jellystone Park Camp-Resort is located approximately 26 miles from Dover, in Lincoln. In addition to their tent and RV camp sites, the latter of which can accommodate RVs of all sizes, the campground has climate controlled rental cabins with private bathrooms and cable television. Camp sites feature electric, water and sewer hookups. Amenities include a free sanitary dump station, a grocery, a camper supply store, laundry facilities, restrooms with showers, a snack bar, a swimming pool, playground, a game room and a dog run.
