Campgrounds in Cisco Grove, California

Cisco Grove is situated in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California. It is approximately 50 miles west of the city of Reno, Nevada, and 80 miles east of Sacramento. The area is an outdoor enthusiast's delight and is located near the massive Lake Tahoe National Forest. Fishing, boating, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing and camping are just some of the activities in the area. There is a multitude of privately and publicly owned campsites close to Cisco Grove.
  1. Cisco Grove Campground & RV Park

    • The largest RV and campground in the Cisco Grove area, Cisco Grove Campground & RV Park has 406 campsites near the Donner Summit.

      Divided up into nine sections, the basic sites include water, electricity, picnic tables and barbecues. Premium sites have sewer hookups as well. Ground fires are not permitted, but wood fires are allowed in free-standing barbecues or in your own self-contained fire pits. Dump stations are located around the park.

      The park has restrooms with showers, a lodge that can handle large groups, a grocery store and a laundromat

    Lake Spaulding Campground

    • The Lake Spaulding Campground is located near Cisco Grove, about a 10-minute drive away. The campground is not big, but it does have 25 sites that can accommodate RVs or tents.

      This is camping old style as the campgrounds do not have any hookups. The campground does include fire pits, picnic tables, vault toilets and garbage bins. Fishing, swimming and boating are some of the popular activities in the park.

    Silver Creek Campground

    • Silver Creek Campground is a short ride from Cisco Grove and is located between Truckee and Tahoe City to the east. It has 21 single-family sites and seven tent sites.

      Among the amenities are a campground host, picnic tables, fire pits, firewood for sale, portable water and vault toilets. RVs larger than 24 feet are not recommended because maneuvering them will be difficult. Pets are allowed as long as they remain leashed.
