Located on the northern tip of the Upper Peninsula, Sunset Bay offers direct access to Lake Superior. This campground has been in operation since 1944, making it one of the oldest in the area. With 18 RV sites, 12 campsites and three cabins, the campground offers a variety of accommodations to cater to any traveler. Tent sites have water hook-ups, while RV sites have access to both electricity and water. All cabins include a kitchen, fireplace, bathroom and gas heat. Guests have access to bath houses, ice machines, wireless Internet and laundry facilities. Each site has a campfire pit, and all campers have access to the beach for swimming, boating and fishing. There are also several trails for hiking and cycling. This campground is open from the end of May through the beginning of October each year.

This 847-acre campground is located on Indian Lake, the fourth-largest inland lake in the U.P. The grounds contain 145 modern camp sites with 50-amp electric hook-ups, modern bathroom facilities and mini-cabins. There are 72 basic campsites on the south side of the grounds featuring outhouse facilities. The lake includes a boat launch and water for swimming. There also is a playground and picnic shelter on site. Many campers hunt in nearby Hiawatha National Forest and Lake Superior State Forest. The trails around Indian Lake offer hiking in the spring, summer and fall and cross-country skiing in the winter.

Located on Otter Lake in Hiawatha National Forest, this area has several trails for hiking, cycling or riding ATVs or snowmobiles. The campground and RV park offer modern amenities such as electric hook-ups and bathroom facilities with hot showers. Guests can do laundry on site or enjoy the playground, beach, volleyball court or use of the campground's row boats and paddle boats. Two large lodges are available as well. The Black Bear Lodge has six bedrooms, two fireplaces, a screened porch and modern kitchen. The Beaver Lodge offers three bedrooms, a modern kitchen and a large great room. While the campsites close down for the winter, travelers can reserve one of the lodges during colder months.
