Lanier's Campground is located on the Intracostal waterway with sites for tents, pop-up trailers and full-hookup RVs. Operated by the same family since 1975, the campground offers a large pool, bath house with hot showers, laundry facilities, boating access, fishing pier, horseshoe pits and picnic tables. For those who are religious, an interdenominational church service is held each Sunday. Skeeter's Grill is on-site offering snacks, ice cream and sandwiches. A number of activities are held throughout the year including beach bingo nights, an Easter egg hunt and 4th of July Parade.

Blackbeard's Treasure Resort offers full-hookup RV sites with 30 amp service and tent sites, which include water and power. Daily, weekly and monthly rates are available. Guests of the resort have access to picnic tables, a dump station and bathhouse. Be sure to bring cash or your checkbook, as credit cards are not accepted. Within walking distance of the park are the grocery store, gift shops, post office, restaurants and fishing pier.

Fulcher's Landing Campground offers 120 sites on 10 acres of land beside the New River. Daily, weekly, monthly and yearly rates are offered. Each RV site includes 20/30/50 amp electrical service. Next door to the campground is a business which rents boats and jet skis. Property amenities include wireless Internet access, laundry facility, bath and shower facilities, day dock pier with gazebo, playground, basketball court, game room and barbecue grills. The campground offers planned activities such as karaoke night and the traditional North Carolina pig picking.
