Sweetwater River Ranch

• Sweetwater River Ranch is located in the town of Cotopaxi, about 1 mile west of Texas Creek. The park offers many tent sites, some located across the river on the premises and other located remotely for campers who want more seclusion. All of the sites have both picnic tables and campfire rings. There are also group tent sites available in the park. The Arkansas River is located directly on the premises. The park also offers several RV sites with full hookups (30 amp electric). Other features of the park that all campers can participate in include off-road Jeep/ ATV rides, nearby trails for hiking and biking and the nearby river for fishing

Cotopaxi/Arkansas River KOA

• The Cotopaxi/Arkansas River KOA is about 4 miles southwest of Texas Creek. The park offers many tent sites, all of which are located along the river. Campers who may need either electric, water or sewer hookups can rent out an RV site whether or not they have an RV. There is also a tipi available for rent along the river, equipped with both water and electricity. The park has 74 RV sites with pull-through access for RVs up to 70 feet long and 25 feet wide. Amenities include hookups (20/30/50 amp electric) and wireless Internet. Other features of the park include a swimming pool, miniature golf, nearby hiking, biking and fishing, a playground and game room and bathroom and shower facilities. Pets are welcome.

Bighorn Campground and RV Park

• Bighorn RV Park is located in the town of Coaldale, about 10 miles west of Texas Creek. The park offers a large tenting area near the river and is easily accessible to fire pits, bathroom and shower facilities and the laundry facility. The site also offers 30 RV sites, with pull-through access for large RVs at most of the sites. Amenities includes full hookups at the majority of the sites (20/30/50 amp electric). Other features of the park that tent and RV campers alike can appreciate include picnic areas, cabin rentals, a swimming pool, volleyball court, horseshoes court and easy onsite access to the Arkansas River for fishing. Pets are welcome.
