RV Campgrounds in Edgewood, New Mexico

The town of Edgewood in the north-central part of New Mexico is approximately 30 minutes east of Albuquerque. There are at least three RV parks located in the area, which is popular with campers because of the many hiking and backpacking trails. Campers in the Edgewood area also enjoy the views of the Sandia and Manzano mountain ranges.
  1. Hidden Valley Resort

    • The Hidden Valley Resort is situated approximately 12 miles to the west of Edgewood and 10 minutes from Albuquerque. It offers a great view of the Sandia and Manzano Mountain ranges and is just a 10-minute ride from Albuquerque. Hiking and backpacking are popular activities in the Manzanos, and Sandia Peak is a 15-minute drive away. The Hidden Valley Resort, which is at an elevation of 6,680 feet, has 101 RV sites with water and sewer. There are 86 sites with full hook-ups. Most of the sites have 30-amp electric, although a few have 50-amp service. The sites can accommodate RVs up to 48 feet, and tent sites are also available. On the grounds are a picnic area, dump station, swimming pool, hot tub, playground, laundry facility, two bathhouses and a clubhouse with a TV lounge.

    Turquoise Trail Campground and RV Park

    • Twelve miles to the west of Edgewood and located in the town of Cedar Crest, the Turquoise Trail Campground and RV Park sits in the shadows of the Sandia and Manzano Mountain ranges. It has full hook-up campsites for RVs. Guests can also opt to stay in cabins or on secluded tent sites. The campground has electrical connections of 15, 30 and 50 amps. Features on the property are a laundry room, payphones, restrooms, showers, picnic tables, modem access, playgrounds, a recreational field and a dump station. Pets are allowed on a leash.

    Red Arrow Campground

    • The Red Arrow Campground in Edgewood has 50 sites that have water, sewer and electric. Sites with 50-amp connections are available. There are pull-through sites that can handle big rigs, and some of the sites are shaded. Cable TV is also available on the grounds. This is a no-frills campground that does not have a lot of amenities like showers and bathrooms. Some of the guests stay here on a long-term basis. The campground does, however, offer access to the Armijo and Cienega trails, as well as the Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument.
