Rock Springs Run State Reserve is about 30 miles north of Discovery Cove, along the shoreline. This park offers cabin rentals or primitive camping. The primitive sites are located on Rock Springs Run and can only be reached by kayak. Keep in mind that primitive campers must return to their site two hours before the park closes.

This state park is about an hour away from Discovery Cove and is located on the Wekiva River. It is a natural, peaceful environment. Camping options at this park include full facility, equestrian, group, primitive and youth camping. Activities include many active options such as fishing, hiking, canoe or kayaking and swimming. From June 1, 2010 to December 31, 2012, reservations will not be accepted for the full facility camping site.

Canaveral National Seashore is a national park located 45 minutes away from Discovery Cove. This coastline park allowsoffers guests the opportunity to experience ocean-side living in a natural setting. As of 2010, camping is $10 per site for parties of six or less. Campers are only allowed to camp on designated camping sites. This park does not have onsite food or beverages, so be certain to bring necessary supplies.
