But your skin is covered 99 percent of your life, so you want to properly apply tanning lotion first to arrive with a beautiful bronze hue. Here are some tips on how to apply tanning lotion.
Wrangle a friend or family member. Unfortunately, no matter how flexible most people are, there are just certain areas on the back that can't be reached. So try and get a friend or family member to help you out. Of course, you can then return the favor.
Squirt tanning lotion into your hand. The Lotion Central and Awesome Tanning Lotions websites (see Resources below) have all the name brands at a reduced price.
Liberally and generously apply the tanning lotion all over your body. Spread it evenly and make sure to get the often-neglected back of your neck and ears. Then squirt additional lotion into your friend's hands and have her apply it to those hard-to-reach areas such as your back.
Reapply. Follow the instructions of your specific tanning lotion. Usually after a couple of hours, the tanning lotion needs to be reapplied.
