Pirate's Cove Aquatic Park is an inexpensive place that children will enjoy. As of February of 2010, tickets are less than $10 per person and the park is open from May 29 to September 6. This park has many exciting features, including a 35 foot water slide and a 750 gallon dump bucket that slowly collects water to dump on victims below. If kids get hungry while playing, the park has a café that serves children's favorites, such as hamburgers, hot dogs, French fries and candy.

Chatfield State Park is a great place to take children. It is located right by the lake and parents can take the kids fishing, boating or bike riding. It also has picnic tables and outdoor grills so families can have a delicious picnic. If the kids are having so much fun that they don't want to leave--they don't have to because Chatfield State Park has 197 campsites that have electricity, water and other services.

Jungle Quest is a children's indoor adventure center created for children ages five to 12. It is decorated in a jungle them and it has ropes, zip lines and rock climbing walls so kids can play for two-hour durations. Jungle Quest also hosts birthday parties, as well as winter and summer camps.
