Campgrounds in Lower Michigan

Lower Michigan is considered by most residents to be the lower section of the Lower Peninsula. The upper part of the Lower Peninsula is still "up north" to many vacationers. The lower region of the state stretches from Lake Michigan to Lake Erie and includes many smaller lakes, rivers, woods and trails ideal for camping and outdoor recreation. Southern campgrounds are also near some of Michigan's larger cities, provide alternative attractions for long camping trips.
