Campgrounds in Fort Bragg, California

Founded as a military fort prior to the American Civil War and situated in Mendocino County, Fort Bragg, California, is a popular tourist destination. It is surrounded by the natural beauty of the Pacific Ocean and redwood forests and is the largest town between San Francisco and Eureka. When visiting or traveling through Fort Bragg, there are a number of campgrounds in the area for resting.
  1. Pomo RV Park and Campground

    • Pomo RV Park and Campground is minutes from the Mendocino Coast on more than 17 wooded acres. The campground has 125 sites including 27 tent sites. Open all year, it features RV sites with cable TV, a dump station and 30- or 50-amp full hookups. Visitors can expect complimentary Wi-Fi Internet, coin-operated showers, laundry facilities, a fish-cleaning station, meeting room and playing field.

    Cleone Campground

    • Cleone Campground is approximately four miles north of Fort Bragg on Highway 1. Open from March 31 through Oct.31, Cleone Campground has sites large pull-through sites with water and electricity. Many sites are nestled among the redwood and fir trees and visitors can expect restrooms with showers, a laundry room, fish cleaning deck and a camping supply store. Tent sites are also available.

    MacKerricher State Park

    • MacKerricher State Park is approximately three miles north of Fort Bragg on Highway 1. It extents along the coast and offers a variety of habitats including forest, dune, beach, bluff, headland and wetland. Visitors can view seals along the rocks off the park's coastline, see more than 90 species of birds or go whale watching during the winter and spring season. The park boasts four campgrounds with 148 sites for tents and RVs and can accommodate RVs up to 35 feet. Each campground has restrooms with showers and flush toilets and sites with picnic tables, food storage lockers and fire rings. Walk-in campsites are also available.
