Mille Lacs Kathio State Park is nestled on the shores of Mille Lacs Lake, less than two hours northeast of St. Cloud. The campground is secluded and shaded by a forest canopy and offers 70 campsites suitable for tents, trailers and RVs no more than 60-feet long. Although some campsites are rustic, most sites feature a grassy lawn, 20- or 30-amp service, access to water, a picnic table and fire ring.
The campground provides several facilities such as bathrooms and shower houses, a fish-cleaning station and hiking trails with wildlife viewing areas. Campground guests can take advantage of amenities offered to all park visitors, including 27 miles of horseback riding trails, a boat ramp and fishing piers, hiking and nature trails, cross-country skiing and snowmobile tracks, lakefront swimming areas, a playground, a visitor's center and a gift shop. Guests also can rent boats, canoes, kayaks, snowshoes and cross-country skis from the camp office.
The campground is pet-friendly and is open year-round. Several restaurants are located within 10 miles of the campground.

The Crow Wing Campground is located just south of Crow Wing State Park in southern Brainerd. The campground is nestled along the shores of Crow Wing Lake and offers 100 campsites suitable for tents, trailers and RVs as large as big-rigs. Campsites feature a concrete patio with grassy lawn, full hookups with 30- or 50-amp service, cable TV access, wireless Internet access, a picnic table and fire pit.
The campground offers guests many services and amenities such as bathrooms and shower houses, a fish-cleaning station, a dish-washing station, a laundry facility, a boat ramp, a heated outdoor swimming pool, a recreation lodge, a large playground area, volleyball and badminton courts, a basketball court, Frisbee golf, shuffleboard, horseshoe pits, a pet-bath station, an off-leash pet park and a general store. Guests can also rent canoes, motorboats, pontoons, kayaks or paddle boats from the camp store.
The campground is pet-friendly and is open year-round. The closest restaurants are located about 20 minutes north of the campground in central Brainerd.

The Two Rivers Campground is located in Royalton, about 40 minutes north of St. Cloud. The campground is nestled between the Platte and Mississippi Rivers and offers 191 campsites suitable for tents, trailers and RVs under 60 feet in length. Campsites feature shaded grassy lawns, full hookups with 30- or 50-amp service, cable TV access, wireless Internet access, a picnic table and fire ring.
The campground provides numerous amenities and facilities for guests, including bathrooms and shower houses, a communal dump station, a laundry facility, a heated outdoor swimming pools, children's playgrounds, a sand volleyball court, a basketball court, shuffleboard, horseshoe pits, a soccer field, a mini-golf course, a boat launch and private beach access. Guests can also rent inner-tubes, canoes and kayaks to float down the Platte River.
The campground is pet-friendly and is open year-round. Several restaurants are located about 4 miles southeast in Rice.
