Campgrounds in Muddy Pond, Tennessee

Muddy Pond is a Mennonite community located in central Tennessee between Nashville and Knoxville. This town is located on the Cumberland Plateau lands that lie west of the Appalachian Mountains. Nine state parks and several public lakes are within minutes. The Amish-Mennonite heritage gives visitors opportunities for shopping a variety of unique small shops. Travelers to this area may wish to stay in one of several campgrounds around Muddy Pond.
  1. Rock Creek Campground

    • Rock Creek Campground is located at the Obed Wild and Scenic River. This river area is popular for canoeing, kayaking, rafting, rock climbing, hiking and fishing. Campsites offer 11 primitive tent sites with barbecue grills and access to a restroom area with toilets only.

    Beanpot Campground

    • Beanpot Campground is located in Crossville, Tennessee, near I-40. There are sites for tents and RVs with full hookups, wireless Internet, cable TV, dump station and access to restrooms with hot showers and laundry facilities. Guests at Beanpot can also enjoy its swimming pool, nature trails, convenience store, TV room, playground, horseshoe pits and basketball courts.

    Pickett State Park

    • Pickett State Park is located in a remote area of the Cumberland Plateau in the 19,200-acre Pickett State Forest. Visitors to the park area can see natural sandstone bridges, mountain streams, scenic views and large rock houses. Fishing boats and canoes can be rented to be used on the area lake. A swimming area lined with sandstone bluffs is also located in the park. There are 32 campsites with electric and water hookups, picnic table, grill and access to a bathhouse and dump station.
