Located in this area are 15 nearby hiking trails in with varying levels of difficulty. This area is considered prime Arizona camping country--the campsites fill quickly.

This campground is open May though October and features 88 campsites, 32 of which have electrical hookups. Other amenities include showers, restrooms, picnic tables, grills and paved roads. Wildlife viewing opportunities are plentiful, as Canyon Point Campground is located in the Sitgreaves National Forest among tall ponderosa pine trees. The Sinkhole Trail is accessible from the campground. This trail is a one-mile loop around an actual sinkhole. Fishing and boating is available five miles away at Willow Creek Lake. A convenience store is two miles away. Canyon Point Campground accepts reservations.

This small, year-round campsite has six family campsites with grills, picnic tables and toilets. Ponderosa pines provide plenty of shade and privacy for each of the sites. Gentry Campground is a pack-in, pack-out campsite, as there are no on-site waste facilities. A lookout tower is on the premises and open to the public for wildlife observation. Black Canyon Lake is 4 1/2-miles away, and includes a boat launch. Reservations are not accepted but a fee is required to use the area.
