The campgrounds at Alpine Divide are located just off U.S. Route 191, close to the actual town of Alpine, AZ. The elevation sits just around 8,479 above sea level. There are numerous species of wildlife that frequent Alpine Divide, including elk, squirrels and geese. One particularly appealing benefit to this campground is that during the summer times, the heat there is not as severe as other areas within the state. A focal point of this campground is its proximity to the Escudilla Mountains. The peaks at Escudilla have the distinction of being the second highest within the entirety of the White Mountains.

Benney Creek Campground, has, among other activities, multiple fishing opportunities for rainbow and brown trout. It can be found just north of and within walking distance of the Bunch Reservoir. Its elevation is roughly 8250 feet above sea level and is open yearly from May until September. Specific to the Springerville, AZ location of Benney Creek, there are laundry facilities available, as well as camp-side grills, fire rings and tables.
Views of the Mongollon Rim Mountains can be had, as well as nearby Sizer Knoll. Specific to trail hiking, two areas at Benney Creek that are excellent for this purpose are the West Baldy Trail and the Amberon Flats.

Big Lake Campground, located in the White Mountains, has an elevation of roughly 9000 feet above sea level. Campgrounds around Big Lake number right around 200, and come complete with shower facilities, fish cleaning areas and a general store, which is located near to the head of the campground itself.
The lake itself has been known to completely freeze right around the latter part of November. For this reason, it has restricted access during part of the winter. Its amenities are many, including fishing and boating, and in fact has two separate boat ramps for marine enthusiasts Big Lake contains approximately 532 water surface acres and is approximately 16 feet deep.
