How to Pack a Kanga Roof Rack

The Kanga RoofPouch, also known as the Kanga roof rack pouch, is a waterproof luggage and travel gear holder that attaches to your vehicle's roof rack via straps. The Kanga roof rack pouch has an aerodynamic design with the front of the pouch shorter than the back. Once you've placed the pouch on the top of your vehicle with the short end facing the front and the tall end facing the rear, packing it simply requires that you distribute your luggage in a way that will prevent the wind from causing the pouch material to flap while you travel.

Instructions

    • 1

Set any pillows, blankets, coats or other soft items off to the side to pack into your Kanga RoofPouch last.

    • 2

Unzip the top flap of your Kanga RoofPouch. Flip the flap toward the front of your vehicle to reveal the pouch interior.

    • 3

Place the heavier luggage and travel items on the bottom of the pouch--lower profile pieces at the front and the taller or wider profile pieces at the back. Stack any lighter pieces on the top of the rest.

    • 4

Insert the items that you set aside into any empty spaces between the pieces that you've already packed to fill the pouch completely so that the pouch material can't flap during travel.

    • 5

Toss the flap back over the pieces and zipper the pouch shut.
