Established as an aerial crop dusting service in 1924, Delta Air Lines has grown to become the No. 1 passenger airline worldwide. Serving more than 170 million passengers each year, Delta is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service from the moment a passenger makes a reservation until well after travel is completed. Should an unchecked item be left on the plane or a checked bag be misplaced, established guidelines assist in returning the item promptly with proper handling and care.
Should you leave an unchecked item in the gate area, in one of Delta's Sky Clubs or on board within the last seven days, visit Delta's website to complete and submit a Report Lost Items form. The link to the form is found in the Reference section below.
In the event your checked baggage is missing from the arriving flight's bag belt, go to Delta's baggage service office, located within the airport, to file a claim. A Delta representative will provide you with a Property Irregularity Form. You will receive a file reference number and can input this number on Delta's website to check the claim status at anytime.
If your checked baggage is lost, download the Passenger Property Loss Claim located on Delta's website and fax or mail it to Delta.
