Located in Medicine Bow National Forest in Laramie, the Brooklyn Lake Campground is just under 30 miles from Centennial. The campground offers 19 full camp sites with each featuring a view of the lake. Horse corrals are available and benefit those looking to use the campground's extensive horseback riding trails. The campground highly recommends making reservations in advance. The 10,500 foot elevation makes views from the campground breathtaking for visitors. The campground allows both trailers and tents.

Located in Laramie and situated just about 30 miles from Centennial are the Libby Creek Campgrounds. The camp is divided in to four smaller campgrounds called Willow, Aspen, Pine and Spruce; aptly named for some of the trees visible from the campground. A horse corral is available for use for the entire compound of camp sites. Campers who choose to bring their own horse need to obtain permission and make a reservation prior to arrival. The campground has trails for horseback riding and hiking with incredible views due to the 8,600-foot elevation of the campground. The various Libby Creek campsites have picnic tables, fire pits and permit camping by both trailers and those using tents.

Located 30 miles outside of Centennial in Laramie, Nash Fork Campground is a location suited to travelers who bring their own horses to ride the many trails located both in Nash Fork and surrounding areas. Mountain biking and wildlife viewing are also popular activities at Nash Fork. The campsite sits at an elevation of 10,200 feet. There are 27 sites at Nash Fork and both tent and trailer camping is allowed on the grounds. The Nash Fork Creek runs through the campground, adding to the appeal of the site.
