Beavers Bend, OK, Campgrounds

Eastern Oklahoma's Beavers Bend Resort Park is in the heart of the Ouachita Mountains and provides tourists with fishing facilities on Broken Bow Lake. During the spring and summer, this state park has warm weather for RV and tent camping. The two campsites at Beavers Bend Resort Park are Beavers Bend and Hochatown State Parks. Most campgrounds in and around Beavers Bend have shower facilities and fishing amenities such as cleaning stations and bait shops.

  1. Beavers Bend State Park

    • Located on the shores of Broken Bow Lake, the Beavers Bend State Park provides 110 campsites for RVs and 56 tent camping sites. All the RV sites have hookups for water and electricity. Reservations are accepted by the park for some of the RV sites, but tent sites cannot be reserved. Water and shower houses are available for tent campers. Campground facilities include an on-site restaurant, nature center and the Forest Heritage Center. The Center offers a gift shop and museum. The Mountain Fork River, within walking distance of the campground, offers opportunities for trout fishing; an Oklahoma fishing license is required.

    Lake Pine Retreat Campground

    • Lake Pine Retreat is in the western region of the Beavers Bend State Park area, less than 10 minutes from Broken Bow Lake. The campground is right off U.S. Highway 259. Lake Pine offers 43 RV campsites, each with water, sewer and electric hookups. Kayaking and fishing activities at Outlaw Creek are within 10 minutes walking distance from the campground; a one-mile trail leads from the campground to Outlaw Creek. Campground amenities include shower facilities, a seven-acre lake for fishing and picnicking areas. An on-site store sells fish bait and has a laundromat.

    Broken Bow Inn and RV Park

    • The Broken Bow Inn and RV Park is approximately 20 minutes away from Beavers Bend State Park. The RV park section of the inn has 18 sites. Each of the sites have water, electric and sewage hookups. RV guests have access to the inn's amenities, which include an outdoor pool, game room and continental breakfast; the game room has arcade video games and pool tables. Gaming is available at the Choctaw Casino, less than five minutes from the Broken Bow Inn. The Inn is a five-minute walk from the Pier 49 Restaurant, which serves Southern cuisine and catfish.

    Hochatown State Park

    • Hochatown State Park is adjacent to Beavers Bend State Park and part of the Beavers Bend Resort Park area. This state park is on the western shores of Broken Bow Lake; lake amenities include boat ramps, a swimming beach and canoe rentals. Other amenities are a fish-cleaning station, dump station, hiking trails and the 18-hole Cedar Creek Golf Course. The golf course also features a golf pro shop. Hochatown has 50 RV campsites water and electric hookups and 21 RV sites with hookups for water, electricity and sewage. The state park also offers 150 primitive tent campsites.
