Taca Airlines Baggage Information

The baggage restrictions at Taca Airlines, a Central American airline operating to over 42 destinations in North America, Central America, South America and the Caribbean, depend on whether the baggage is checked in or carried on board. There are also different weight restrictions on checked baggage depending on the region of travel.
  1. Economy Class Passenger

    • Each passenger is allowed one carry-on bag weighing up to 22 lbs. and measuring up to 45 linear inches. The bag is measured by length plus width plus height. Passengers traveling to or from North America are allowed two pieces of check-in baggage weighing up to 50 lbs. each and measuring up to 62 linear inches.

    Business Class Passengers

    • The carry-on luggage allowance is the same as in economy class. Each passenger is allowed two pieces of check-in luggage weighing 70 lbs. each.

    Overweight Fees

    • In North America, the fee for baggage weighing between 50 lbs. and 70 lbs. is $55.

      Passengers are charged a $100 fee for baggage weighing between 70lbs. and 100 lbs. All overweight baggage travels as standby baggage.

    Oversized Baggage

    • There is a fee of $100 for baggage measuring between 62 and 85 linear inches. Oversized baggage travels as standby baggage.
