Quechee State Park is located on land that was once owned by a wool processing company, which at one time made the wool for uniforms for the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees. The mill closed in 1952 and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers turned the land into the park. The park is now being leased by the State of Vermont. The park's campground is on the mill's recreation area. The campground has 45 sites for tent or RV camping, as well as seven lean-to sites. There are no hook-ups for RVs, but there is a dump station. The campground has two bathrooms with showers.
