Campgrounds Nearest to Paulding County, Georgia

Established in 1832, Paulding County, Georgia covers 313 square miles of northwestern Georgia. These privately-owned facilities offer numerous amenities and on-site recreational activities.
  1. The Rock RV Park

    • The Rock RV Park is in the community of Rockmart, approximately nine miles from Paulding County (about 12 minutes by automobile). The campground offers walk-in sites for primitive tent camping as well as recreational vehicle campsites. All of the RV spaces have electric and water hookups. Picnic tables, a large pavilion, restrooms and showers are available. A fishing pond is located on the property. The campground museum features exhibits that detail the history of farming implements. The Camping On The Silver Comet Trail, a bicycling trail, and Coots Lake are nearby. The Rock RV Park operates year round.

    Sweetwater Valley Park

    • Sweetwater Valley Park opened in 1995 and is in Villa Rica, around nine miles from Paulding County (about 13 minutes by automobile). The campground consists of 36 recreational vehicle campsites, which include pullthroughs. The sites are shaded and all feature electric hookups. Water and sewage connections are not available at the lots; but, the campground has restrooms, showers and a sewage waste dump available. A laundry facility, picnic tables and outdoor kitchens are also featured. On-site recreational facilities and activities include a playground, basketball court, horseshoe pits, volleyball and badminton courts, walking trails and a driving range. Campers can even try their hand at mining for gems at the campground's sluice.

    Holiday Harbor Marina & Resort

    • Holiday Harbor Marina & Resort is in Acworth, about 17 miles from Paulding County (approximately 26 miles by automobile). The campground offers 20 recreational vehicle campsites and seven camping cabins. The largest sites can accommodate vehicles up to 80 feet in length. Water and electric hookups are available at each campsite; wireless Internet is accessible throughout the resort. The campground has a sewage waste dump, laundry facility and a restaurant. Propane canister refills are also sold on the property. No restrooms and showers are provided for campers.

      Horseshoe pits, an indoor game room, a volleyball court and a playground are also found at the camp. Boaters can use the resort's marina, ramp and dock; Lake Allatoona is adjacent to the camping area for fishing and swimming. Holiday Harbor Marina & Resort remains open year round.
