Lenawee County, Michigan Campgrounds

Lenawee County is located in Southeast Michigan along the Indiana state border. The county is home to numerous city and county parks, two state parks and Hidden Lake Gardens, an arboretum with driving, hiking and cross-country ski trails owned by Michigan State University. Michigan International Speedway is a major tourist attraction in the area, drawing vacationers from throughout Michigan and neighboring states.
  1. Camp Sequoia

    • Camp Sequoia is located in Adrian, and spans more than 100 acres of open space. The campground accommodates RV campers and rents rustic camping cabins. RV sites have trees, water, electricity, a fire ring and picnic table. Rental cabins are for sleeping, and the park has a kitchen and dining hall and log-cabin chapel. The campground includes miles of walking trails to wetlands and wildlife, an in-ground pool, playground, camp store, horseshoe pits, volleyball and other sports, and a fishing lake with canoe and rowboat rentals. Some weekends throughout the summer, camp-wide group activities are offered.

    Indian Creek Camp & Conference Center

    • Indian Creek Camp is a destination campground in Tecumseh, Michigan. The grounds of Indian Creek Camp are host to activities like wall/rock climbing, hay wagon rides, miniature golf, a ropes course, sports games, swimming in a heated pool, arcade games, catch-and-release fishing, kayaking, paddle boating, walking, and flying down a 250-foot zipline.

      The campsites accommodate tents, large RVs and all campers in between. Cabins are also available for rent. The campground encourages groups to visit the camp for reunions, team building and leisure. Amenities include bathrooms, showers, laundry facilities, an enclosed pavilion for gatherings and a dump station.

    Walter J. Hayes State Park

    • Walter J. Hayes State Park is a 654-acre park with 185 modern campsites for tents and campers and two cabins. Wamplers Lake and Round Lake are located within the park. Wamplers Lake is a sporting lake that accommodates boats and other motorized water transportation, while Round Lake is a no-wake body of water. Sandy beaches, the lakes and its location in the Irish Hills area make W.J. Hayes State Park a popular camping spot for vacationers. The Irish Hills region is a tourist draw in Southeast Michigan with green, rolling hills and more than 30 clear, inland lakes.

      Activities at the campground include fishing, boating, beach-going, swimming, state park explorer programs, sports games and walking.
