Apply online for a U.S. visa. Go to the website for the Embassy of the United States in Canada and complete the DS-160 visa application. Find the DS-160 application by clicking on the tab for Categories and Requirements under "Entering the U.S. - Visas." On the DS-160 application, you must include detailed personal information, including your passport number and the passport numbers of any family members traveling with you. As part of the online application process, you must pay your visa fees. As of publication, the fee for a standard visitor visa was $140. At the end of the application process, print your confirmation page, which will include your SWIFT reference number.
Book a visa application appointment online. Go the the U.S. Visa Service website and choose Canada from the drop-down menu. Follow the instructions to book a visa appointment at the U.S. Consulate in Toronto.
Compose and send an email to the U.S. Consulate in Toronto at [email protected]. In the subject line of your email, write "Expedited Visa Appt. Request:" followed by your name and the SWIFT reference number that you received when completing your online visa application. In the body of your email, explain the reasons for your emergency visa request and include your full name, date and place of birth, nationality, appointment confirmation number, your visa status in Canada, email address, postal address and phone numbers.
Go to the U.S. Consulate in Toronto to pick up your visa. If your expedited visa request is approved, the consulate will contact you with information about when you can come in to pick up your visa. Find the U.S. Consulate in Toronto at 225 Simcoe Street.
